Positive vibration
2021
Positive vibration is an experimental research project inspired by the context of the SARS Cov2 pandemic. Johannes Hugo Stoll transforms everyday situations from the past year, like private isolation and nasal cavitiy testing, into moving images and oscillating objects, following a path of doing creation out of destruction. Such as in the work „Is History ok?” where Stoll takes biological samples from the nasal cavity of a monument of King Wilhelm I. which he analyzes in a laboratory specialized in genetics and molecular biology and takes inspiration for his exhibition. He borrows and combines references and practices from genetic technology, history, political culture and economics in order to interpret everyday realities.
