‚Tongue Lecture‚ is a ten-minute speed lecture with a live drawing. Tracing 1.5 million years of tongue evolution, it navigates the oral cavity, Neolithic revolution, and industrialization, questioning the term ‘taste’. The live drawing, a dysfunctional map, complements the lecture’s rapid exploration. From fire to language, the informative and disorienting performance challenges the audience to reconsider the role of taste between culture, history and power structures.
